In this quest you will have to pre-concentrate radionuclides from water sample using MnO₂ pre-concentration. This will enable you to reduce sample volume sufficiently that you could separate radionuclides in it in next quest.
First you will precipitate MnO₂ in a sample by addition of KMnO₄, MnCl₂ and NH₄OH. Then you will leave precipitate to settle down. After that you will have to decant overlying solution and centrifuge the remaining precipitate. Then you will have to wash it until neutral pH.
