This is a rather simple LabView program that allows you to simulate the count rate that would be detected from two disintegrating nuclei with different half-lives. In addition to the emissions from the two nuclei, the detector would also measure a constant background. This background can be specified in the simulation (or omitted if set to zero).
The program presented here was written in LabView (version 2012) from National Instruments.
If you do not have LabView available, you can still run the compiled program, but then you must download and install the appropriate plug-in from National Instruments.
Download executable code (requires LabView 2012 run-time plug-in).
Download Labview VI source code (can be run by LabView 2012 or later).
